The BGT conference is held biennially at various locations, most recently in Rosenheim and now in Friedrichshafen. With over 500 participants in 2022, the congress is the most important conference for building physics and building technology in timber construction, dry construction, and interior design.

The event showcases current developments and aspects from science and industry, with a focus on acoustics and fire protection, as well as topics such as building technology, components, and materials.
 

Given the current developments in the construction sector, from declines in order intake to new ideas driven by global climate and socio-political developments, sustainable construction is a central theme. The conference will begin with the motto "Building Differently - New Approaches" and conclude with the motto "Building Differently - Thinking Ahead".
